Stedman Graham is chief executive officer of Stedman Graham & Partners, a New York-based integrated marketing firm that specializes in reaching the urban market. Graham is also chairman and chief executive officer of Stedman Graham Training & Development, an educational company that creates customized corporate training and leadership development programs.

Graham’s professional development has been guided by his nine-step empowerment philosophy, designed to manage both professional and personal situations. You Can Make It Happen: A Nine-Step Plan for Success details Graham’s system for personal growth. A youth version of the Nine-Step Plan will be published in 2000.

"None of us are defined by our circumstances, nor are we defined by how other people perceive us. It is up to each one of us to define ourselves, and that is a life's work.  Each of us has the ability to lead a dynamic life by pursuing our unique goals and dreams. There are no limits to what you can do."

— STEDMAN GRAHAM

Equally crucial to Graham’s philosophy is a commitment to youth and community. He is founder and executive director of Athletes Against Drugs (AAD), a nonprofit organization of athletes and other civic leaders committed to developing leadership in youth. AAD provides in-class curriculum to Chicago Public Schools and conducts corporate leadership visits, parent workshops, role model presentations, community and volunteer projects, as well as sports clinics with professional athletes.

Stedman Graham is an adjunct professor at the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and serves on several charitable boards of directors including the national board of Junior Achievement (JA). Graham received a bachelor’s degree in social work from Hardin-Simmons University and a master’s degree in education from Ball State University.

"I want to take this opportunity to thank you for presenting the "You Can Make It Happen" session at our Peoria Marketing Conference. The information you presented was well received by all in attendance. You supplied your audience with comments they can take back to their office and implement into their day-to-day lives. Your presentation was very motivational and right on target. Thank you for a dynamic presentation!"
